Bubbenhall Parish Council requires a Clerk / Responsible Financial Officer

The part-time position will require the successful applicant to work from home for a minimum of 35 hours per calendar month. The position is to start as soon as possible.

The following skills are essential:

  • Financial accounting, PAYE and budgeting
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, email, internet)
  • General administration
  • Preparation of agendas and the accurate recording of minutes of meetings

Access to the internet is required, but a laptop computer and printer will be supplied. Some evening work is involved, particularly organising and attending the ten parish council meetings per year, along with two additional committee meetings. Council meetings are normally held on Tuesdays.

Remuneration would be in accordance with NJC and NALC Salary Scale SCP14, depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in induction meetings, and, if required, undertake a training programme (paid for by the Parish Council) eventually to CILCA standard.

Access to a stakeholder pension will be available subject to terms and conditions.
